About Us
Our Story
Patiolink is an Australian family owned business that started in the year 2000 by founder and proud father Ivan, a Croatian immigrant bringing his family to Australia for a better life and to escape a war torn country. We needed a solution for our family doggie (Billie) at the time to go in and out as he pleased but didn’t want to cut into our glass door as many people do as we were living in a rental property and could not alter the fixtures. We searched for the best solution on how to adapt a pet door into our sliding door and discovered there was no such solution, and this is when Patio Link was born!
We started to design, manufacture samples, and test the doors in order to create the best pet door insert Australia had to offer. We used only the best quality materials as we wanted our product to be durable and strong, just like our sliding door was.
It was also important for us to be able to offer a wide range of sizes and colours as dogs come in all sizes and we wanted our doors to blend in with existing fittings.
From the day we launched Patiolink pet doors onto the market we were overwhelmed with the response and demand for our product. Ten years later Ivan’s Daughter Ivana took over the reigns of the business bringing with her new ideas, new marketing, new products, payment options and expanded internationally with exports to many countries who were also struggling to find suitable solutions for sliding doors. In 2019 Ivan Sadly passed away after battling cancer for 1.5 years. Having her second baby just 6 days after Ivans Passing was a roller coaster of emotions and left Ivana with enormous weight and responsibility and was back in the office the day after leaving hospital nursing her new born whilst catching up on missed calls and new enquiries. Today Ivana continues to take the business from strength to strength with a relocation to the Gold Coast in Queensland in 2020 to a brand new facility taking along her valuable staff who were part for the Patiolink Family.
To this day, we hear from some of our very first customers who tell us how their Patio Link pet door inserts are still in perfect condition after all these years and are so happy.
Being Family owned and taking pride in everything we do, hearing such valuable feedback simply makes everything worth while and keeps us going back to work day after day providing a 5 star service.
It makes us immensely proud and happy to be able to offer something from our family to yours and grateful for the new life Patiolink gave us in Australia and we are just as motivated today as we were on the first day, we look forward to serving you for another 20 years to come!
