Sliding Door Adaptor – Lock Your Glass & Security Screen Doors
The Patio Link Sliding Door Adaptor allows you to securely lock both your glass sliding door and security screen door while your Patio Link Pet Door Insert is installed.
Simply relocate your existing female latches onto the adaptor, allowing both doors to lock securely for maximum security and peace of mind. You can also leave your security screen door closed to enjoy fresh airflow while helping keep unwanted insects outside.
An adaptor is required if:
- Your glass sliding door female latch sits inside the door channel, as shown in the product photos.
- You would like to lock your glass sliding door and security screen door into the adaptor.

Adaptor will accomodate up to 10cm, distance from glass sldiing door to the fly screen door. If you have bigger gap, more than 10cm, then you will need to ADD: L-PROFILE Panel to your order. Was pretty easy to install. If you watch the videos on u tube it is even easier. Works well and like that I can lock the fly screen door and the sliding door. Also I can the door open to let in fresh air without the insects coming in also.
Love it. Helps so much. The draft is away and the house is so much warmer. Now both the glass and flyscreen doors can lock and not just the one. It is very neat and looks wonderful. So glad we made the purchase. Just upset that we haven’t done it sooner!
The outcome has been worthwhile. Hopefully it will be in service for a long time. I say that because there is a caveat to the installation: It is challenging to install! Particularly if you want to make a really tidy job of it and also meet insurance security requirements! I don't think the instructions are particularly helpful, and the suggested videos are not helpful at all. My guess is that for many they would need to have this professionally installed.
The adaptor is a great idea, if you wish to incorporate and lock the screen door. A big shout out to Ivana for suggesting this feature. Cheers David.

It's definetly needed to close both sliding door and fly screen door. Specially in the summer to avoid mosquitoes.
The adapter is a great addition to the pet door and lets you also lock your screen door. Easy to install too.

Installation of the door was pretty easy and the online tutorials were good.
It was difficult to adjust to fit with just a hacksaw but I managed it in a couple of hours. The effort is really worthwhile so that I could just have the screen door closed. Very happy
Excellent quality and product
Took some time to do all the cutouts, but highly recommend the adaptor for a neat secure fit for the door insert.

A bit of mucking around fitting profile, but works a treat.
The adapter is great because with the sliding door open & the screen door closed, not only do you feel secure inside but your getting fresh air in & keeping bugs out.

Very happy with this design we’ve bought cheaper doggie doors and yes this takes more effort to make it fit your door but that’s what give you better fitting results
Your team was very helpful in us making the choice for the dog door and adaptors for our stacking door system. Ordering was easy and delivery was prompt. Hubby and I installed the dog door as per your video instructions, very simple and the dog loves it. However we are not in the position to measure and cut the adaptors to our above standard door height. I enquired if you could recommend an installer in Sydney who knew your products and could help us out. Sadly no response. So if you could recommend someone in Sydney to assist, I would be grateful. Would rather not just get anyone & they stuff it up.

Allowing my security screen door and glass sliding door to be securely locked is excellent. Measuring and cutting the grooves to match my particular tracks was difficult and took me so long to get it to match. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

The adaptor works amazing if you want to use the security screen. The doors actually lock better because my partner who installed it was able to position the locks and latches in the correct position as they were slightly off where they originally were, so that’s a neat bonus. If you’re not handy however you will need to get someone in to install it for you.
I really needed one of those tools to help the correct holes and stuff for the lines so if you guys could figure that out that would be awesome
Great idea which is why I chose Patio Link so that both my sliders ended and locked at the same point while still allowing my precious dog to exit and enter whenever he wanted.

It is great to be able to lock both the glass and security door with the adaptor.
A really good product that would be easy to fit on most door frames.
Good one size fits all product so done expect everything to line up. Depending on how you do the install it could take some skill. I'm lucky to be a handyman so was able to cut grooves to for in the track. You could just cut it flat and for between the tracks. One improvement suggestion would be to replace the button head screws with counter sink screws to prevent the screws hitting the sliding door. I replaced mine, counter sink the holes and put white press caps on them. Much better

Looks great only had to print a 3d printed bracket so I could fit it to the mid opening of my sliding doors as the opening was just under 20mm.

The quality is absolutely outstanding
I was disappointed that the profile of my sliding door frame was not the type shown in your videos, This caused some angst as I had to modify everything at each stage. With Ivanas advice I was able to install the dog door and the sliding screen door adapter. It was not as I hoped but I am pleased with the end result. It works well and looks good. We have a most unusual sliding door frame and with help over Xmas from patio link the issues were largely resolved. Had to spray-paint the aluminium to match the dune colour of the door frame. 2 days of work to cut/fit/paint/adjust locks etc - lucky I’m a bit of a handyman I suppose. Standard locks, door sliders would make this an easy job. In the end works well, looks fine but very expensive. Around $900 with extra pieces, paint, additional postage etc.
The product looks good. however I have not had the time to install it so I cannot make a full judgement, but I think it will look great once installed.

It does not provide locking to both screen and glass door. It appears to be one or the other. No as easy to install

It's a long skinny panel that you need to install next to the pet door insert, relocate all female latches to the adaptor and you will need to able to lock both doors.
