Bracket fitted quite easily to dog door to enable locking.
Absolutely great item and I can now lock my sliding door properly with greater security. Was also sent and delivered very quickly.
We had an existing pet door, and this bracket worked perfectly. We may be interested in buying another door in the future, and we will buy it from you.
A tricky installation due to the design of the sliding door catch. I had to drill two holes in the 90 degree “fin” to enable nuts & bolts (M5 x16mm) to be fitted to the door catch, that could only be fixed through holes its back end. Alignment was also tricky due the mechanism of the lock which incorporates two hooks that swing into the catch from top and bottom. Got there in the end and the availability of your bracket provided the inspiration to get the job done. My daughter had purchased a Hartman pet door that didn’t provide any means of making the door lockable. Thank you!

Just the part I needed to use to be able to live the glass sliding door... Feel much safer knowing that both doors are connected and locked. Leaving the doggo able to gone in and out as she pleases
I have a pet door from Bunnings and it was easy enough to install and is now keeping the cold air out. Highly recommend.
It looked easy but it doesn't fit the door, the packing bar isn't wide enough. need to get a locksmith now, vey disappointed.

Would have been nice to include a Door latch so as it can be independently fitted rather than rework the existing latch
Store owner replied: Hi Ken, Thank you for your review. Every sliding door and locking is different and there is no 1 female universal latch that will accomodate all sliding door locking. It is ideal to relocate your current female latch across to a locking bracket so then you can lock glass sliding door into the original female latch and lock glass sliding door into the pet door insert. Also by relocating female latch to a locking bracket, it give you an opportunity to connect / fix the pet door insert to your sliding door frame without doing any damage to your sliding door frame. All you need to do is put 1 screw through your existing screw hole where original female latch used to sit, to catch the pet door insert through the frame, that way pet door will not move and it will be fixed. This system also works for people who are renting because when you move house, you just undo everything and put the female latch back in original position and no one will ever know you had a pet door insert in place.
