Much better idea for my older dogs (11 &13). Interestingly it is the 16mth old pup who is reluctant to use it!
Strength of magnet at bottom an issue at moment, suggest future option should be multiple strip's that can be easily removed and replaced as needed.
Also original perspex flap was a problem to remove, one nut and bolt would not undoubtedly- sorted with an angle grinder! Soft flap installed with 2 fixings only now.
We had to make some adjustments due to the sliding door frame being an older version. But it works very well.
Fit our 50 kilo Mastiff x Rottweiler perfectly! Looks great, closes easily. He loves his new found freedom!
I have been using a medium doggie door for about 14 years. On getting a larger dog I upgraded to the large size.
The quality has remained the high standard of my original door.
